As with my previous blog last month, I mentioned that some of the photos I took for the event called Mode du Soleil Event which is an fashion and cocktail party featuring Anne Curtis, Heart Evangelista, Mika Lagdameo and more. I was excited with the April issue and hoping the photos that I took is already there, this morning my Rogue Magazine arrived and saw my photos and I can say I was so happy. The April issue with Bea Alonzo on the cover is really something new and very classy, like the photos of Bea Alonzo which is photographed by Mark Nicdao. Issue also features the candidates for Presidents for the incoming election. Hope you could grab a copy of it. :)

* New Puppy

My brother told me that my Aunt will give us one puppy and I was really excited because it's been years since me had a puppy or a dog in the house. Yesterday my Mom arrived from my Tita's house and together with her is our cute little puppy, she still doesn't have a name till now (honestly) and the puppy is really really shy, quiet and like me a sleepy head. It was funny because she sleeps then wake up then eat then sleep again. Now I have another reason of staying at home and just playing and taking care of our new puppy.

* Mika Lagdameo-Martinez's Gourmet Pao

Who is Mikaela "Mika" Lagdameo-Martinez? well I'm sure most of us is familiar with her commercials in the previous years like Skin White, Century Tuna, Nesvita Pro Digestion, Pond's Flawless White, Greenwich and more. She was also into modeling and started in the age of 15. Been through the cover pages of popular magazines like MPH, Candy, Rogue and more. Now at the age of 24 Mika is into the business, I can say that I am really a fan of her way back and I was able to follow her in twitter.com, I read her tweets bout one of her business which is Gourmet Pao's which is a siopao but not the ordinary one's because it's 3x larger than the regular size with different flavors. I got interested because I'm seeing and hearing positive feedbacks so I told myself to try and order so I texted the number that she gaved me and order a box with assorted flavors. I picked up my order and it was Mika personally who gaved me my order, I can say I was really happy and starstrucked cause as I've said I'm really a fan and I was able to talk to her in person, Mika was really nice and I was also lucky to have my Rogue Magazine signed and have a photo with her.

By the way per box (6 pcs) cost 600 pesos which is really affordable because the siopao's are really big. I ordered the box with assorted flavors. My family liked it and especially my Mom, she told me that we should order again for this coming Christmas and New Year, me as well liked it because it's delicious, unique and affordable. I would definitely recommend it.

* FHM September 2009 with Cristine Reyes

After Cosmania 09 at SM Megamall me and my friends went to Robinson's Galeria to attend the FHM September 2009 signing with Philippines #1 Cristine Reyes. We arrived around 5:45pm and the line is already long. Saw some familiar faces in the signing and some friends. Met some new ones as well and most of them are photographers and toy fanatics as well just like me. There is also a Cobra Energy drink booth behind the stage and they are giving the fans a free taste as well.



After 30 minutes the event started and hosted by Magic's Sam YG and of course introduction with Cristine Reyes and they showed the behind the scene footage of her shoot in SCTEX.


It took a while before we get our turn, we can see that there are Security guards or let's say bouncers on the stage, they are strict this time and we don't know why. I was able to have my magazine sign and have a pic with Cristine Reyes. This was my 3rd time to meet her, My 1st and 2nd time was also both in the same place for the first issue that Cristine became a cover girl for FHM and for the 2008 FHM calendar with Katrina Halili. Cristine was really nice and she stands up for the picture taking for a good photo.


With my review for the September issue, well I can say I liked the shoot for Cristine because if the quality of the photos and there's alot of pictures. It's a special cover back to back with Robin Padilla. FHM is getting better and better, I can say as of the moment they are still the Philippines #1 Men's Magazine. Hoping for classy issues for the coming months and cool events as well.

* Urbandub at Alabang Town Center 05.31.09

The last time we went to Alabang Town Center, we saw the banner that Urbandub will be performing again in there for the 4th time. I was able to watch the 1st and 2nd time but I missed the 3rd one. Donna went to our house around 1pm. We don't have any plans for that day but to hang out but I wanted to watch Urbandub and go out but the rain is really hard. We left the house around 4:30pm and went to ATC. The venue of the Urbandub mini concert was moved inside because of the rain outside. I have work at night and I decided to skip work and called in to be sick. The mini concert started around 7pm and The Ambassadors played first then followed by Urbandub. They sang alot of songs including Sailing, Gone, Fight is Over and more. I was able to take good shots as well.

After the Urbandub gig we decided to eat at Mexicalis and damn I was so full, it was our 2nd time to ate at Mexicalis and the 1st one was January 2009 at Greenbelt. After dinner we bought tickets for Terminator Salvation, I'm not a Terminator fan but I can say I liked the movie. Movie ended around 12:30am and good thing the rain has stop and we decided to go home and rest.

* Tekken cosplay shoot at Rainforest Park Pasig

I was just invited to join the shoot by a fellow cosplay photographer Zell. It was a Saturday and call time was 10am at Gateway cinema area, so after my friday night shift I slept right away to get some sleep and set my alarm at 9:30am and the thing is I woke up 10:30am so I hurried to gateway mall. Glad they waited for me and there are some coslayers and photographers who are also late. I grab a bite at KFC first and then wait for the others, we take a cab and went to Rainforest Park in Pasig and it was my 1st time there, got lost because taxi driver don't know the place. When we arrived there we wasn't able start right away because according to the park's management we still need to get a permit and so Zell and Gian went to the city hall to get a permit for us to start the photoshoot.

Around 4pm we already started *at last, damn there's alot of people watching us and a lot of kids as well. Rainforest Park is really a nice place and it's a place to visit, too bad is far though. Shoot ended around 6:30pm and it's already dark and I still have work at 10pm.

* Playboy January 2009 Issue PressCon

It was my 1st time to attend a Playboy Press Conference and I was just invited by a friend. It was held in Cabalen West Ave and I can say it's my first time to go there haha. I was informed it would start by 11am and I arrived around 12nn and good thing the event hasn't started yet. Since it was my 1st time when I arrived my friend is not yet there so I was like out of place. Good thing after several minutes a friend Carl arrived. We are given food stubs for the buffet and free Playboy magazine which is the current issue. We ate while waiting for the presscon to start, after several minutes the presscon has started. The cover girl was introduced to us and her name was Saffi Karina. She was really nice, friendly, has the height and body of the model and mostly has the brains. Had a question and answer part after her introduction and autograph signing and picture taking afterwards.

* FHM January 2009 issue signing with Carlene Aguilar

It's 2009 and my streak with the monthly FHM signing should not stop haha, Got the copy of the January issue and I can say I liked it *as always, Alot of babes were featured in the issue like my friend Avi Siwa. A friend joke won as Joke of the Month as well.


Venue is still at Robinsons Galeria Movie World and I arrived around 5pm, ate at Sisig Hooray before going to the event. Meet the usual faces in the FHM events and mostly my friends. Event should start by 6pm and good thing it did, It was hosted by Sam YG of Boys Night Out for Magic 89.9 FM. Learned a new term which is Batman or "Batang Manyak" haha. I can say the line is kinda short and I'm happy bout the FHM staff because they are not strict. I was able to take photos inside, even though im done with my turn. Carlene is pretty eventhough she's already a mom I can say she is still hot and very nice. I left early because I still have work at 10pm.

* FHM December 2008 Issue Signing

Finally the final FHM signing for FHM Philippines, I'm so excited cause finally I've completed and attended all the signing for every month. I've met every cover girl and had my magazines signed. Met alot of friends during the FHM event.


Mariel Rodriguez is the December cover girl, she was really nice and very makulit. She's thanks everyone and is very nice to her fans. She's really approachable and smiles in every time we took a photo of her. I can say I left early because Is till have work during this day but I was glad that I've completed my 2008 FHM collection.

* X-Mas Toycon and Cosplay Event

It was really a good idea that they organized another Toycon since X-mas is several days away and at the same time include a cosplay fashion walk for the event. Me and my friend Mark went to SM Megamall to attend the event at the same time check the toys and take photos of the cosplayers.

We arrived around 3pm and took photos of the cosplayers right away, meet new and old friends in the event. I can say there's a lot of cosplayers and it reminds me of Cosplaymania08. Meet our friend Jervin in the convention too bad he wasn't able to charge his battery for his DSLR.


About the Toy Convention, entrance fee is 30php but few booths compare to the previous cons. I was able to buy my Gekiranger toys which is on 50% off.


I still have work at 10pm so me and my friends just ate first at the foodcourt then I went straight to work afterwards.

* Moonstar88 at Converse Sale in SM Megamall

I went to SM Megamall to attend the X-Mas Toycon of course to check some toys and take photos of the cosplay event. Me and my friend Mark decided to leave our things in the baggage counter on the supermarket area and when we are about to go down the escalator I suddenly heard the sing Migraine which is one of my favorite Moonstar88 hits so we went inside SM Megatrade Hall 3 where Converse is on Sale and saw my favorite band and also close friends Moonstar88. So I took photos while they are playing and also saw some of my Moonstarero friends who are also there to watch.

* Yohan Contawe's 1st birthday

It was my inaanak's 1st birthday and since I wasn't able to make it during his Christening I think it's not really nice if I am going to miss his 1st birthday. I was invited by Jeff and her wife way several months ago for this one so I already filed a leave for this day. The venue was in Casimiro Village Clubhouse, I thought our friends from ADEC would come but I am the only one who was there. It was a cosplay like party because kids are in their super hero costumes. My inaanak is in his Superman Costume. Food was also great and the clown show was really funny because it's been a while since I've attended a kid's party. I was able to take photos during the party and mostly are kids. Happy Birthday Yohan.

* GDAP 2008 Cosplay Event at Crowne Plaza

It was just mentioned to me by a friend whom I met in a cosplay event so I checked cosplay.ph and saw that there's going to be an event on December 3 and since it was a Wednesday it only means I'm free because it's my restday. So I informed the event to my friends who would be intersted on it. I bought toki (my cam) and met my friend in the bus station and we went to Robinsons Galeria. We arrived early around 4:30pm I think.
The event would start 6pm so we stroll around and grab a quick snack because I am really starving. We ate at Sisig Hooray ^^ then meet one of our friend Jade their. We went to the venue at the Ballroom area of Crowne Plaza. Saw familiar faces cosplayers and photographers. Met some old friends and met some new ones. I took photos of the cosplayers. Neo Taku band also peformed and I can say I was impress with their family computer and supe mario jam. I'm in front of the stage so I have a good position in taking photos. Almost 30 cosplayers have joined and there are 3 winners (Best Female) is Tza (Best Male) is the guy in the red robot costume and the (Grand Winner) is the 7 ft tall cosplayer haha he's really big and also the cool smoke effects.

* Rachel Anne Daquis of FEU

November 11, 2008 and it's a friday and luckily my leave in the office was approved so I really wanted this day to be special and full of activities. I woke up around 10am and surf the net for an hour. My first plan is to do to Tektite building in Ortigas to get my ordered Rachel Anne Daquis FEU Shakey's V-League jersey and I was supposed to be there by 1 and I got there 2:45pm. I rode the busy up to Ayala and then MRT up to Ortigas. I met my friend from PeopleSupport Richard (too) and he accompanied me to Tektite. After Tektite we went to "The Arena" (damn traffic) in San Juan hoping to still catch FEU's game against Ateneo when we arrived and are about to buy tickets luckily I saw Rachel Anne Daquis going to the FEU bus already so I panicked and get the Daquis jersey that I just bought and had it signed. Wasn't able to have a picture with her (this time) because she's in a hurry. I just took a picture of her holding my signed jersey. FEU won the game and they are on the semis and will go back to watch their games. Thanks Rachel for signing my jersey!

* Joyce So at last

After a long wait a dream has finally come true. It's a simple one but for me it's really a big and that's meeting my crush Joyce So =) I saw her first in the TV (Bora) and her pictures in the magazines.

I can say I'm a big fan of chinita girls and when I saw Joyce So I really find her pretty and of course sexy. Then one time early this year around May I was informed by my friends that Joyce So will be guesting the HSN (Hot Summer Nights) car show at SM Mall of Asia parking lot, so I brought my Joyce So FHM's and went to the venue. Saw my friends (Robin, Mark, Drew, Chi and more).

We saw that Joyce So would be with Gail Nicolas and Cherry Ann Kubota in the particular event. I actually called-in that day in the office to tell that I'm sick but actually I'm not for the sake of the event. We spoked with the FHM peeps and they told us that unfortunately Joyce So can't make it and MC Quiazon would replace her. Awwwchh it really sucks big time because I was really damn excited to meet her. We just enjoyed the car show event and also glad in a way to meet Cherry Ann and Gail for the first time on that event.

After several months I saw the November issue of FHM and saw Joyce So in the cover so I thought that this would be the time that I should see her in person. Me and my friends planned to attend the Radio Tour (we can't wait before the signing) same thing I bought my Joyce So stuff and when we arrived the booth, Joyce So and Jacq Yu is now with them only Precious, Gail and Cherry Ann. Damn again for the second tme I felt bad again but I just thought that I shouldn't feel bad because she's going to be in the FHM signing on the weekends.

Weekends came (saturday) and I was planning to attend the UP AME (cosplay) and will just attend the FHM signing part 2 at Rob Place on Sunday but I know Joyce would be there so I just cancelled UP AME and just attended the FHM event. It's the first time I saw her and I can san it's worth the waiting hehe she was really pretty and very nice. Took photos of her, had my magazine signed and had a picture with her. Hope to see her in the future. It was a dream come true for me =)

* FHM November 2008 100th issue signing [day 1]

One of my most waited event every month is the FHM's autographn signing. I'm excited because I can take pictures, meet my friends, have my magazine signed and of course meet the cover girl/s. November is not an ordinary month for FHM because it is their 100th issue so they had 5 girls in the cover. I was planning to attend day [2] which is Sunday at Rob Place Manila because I'm planning to attend the UP AME (cosplay event at UP) on saturday but I dunno I just thought that I would just prioritize the FHM event (because Joyce So is there *crush)


I filed a swap for this day because I do have work during saturdays and I wanted to enjoy the event. I went with my gf and arrived around 5pm (I guess) Saw my friends Mark, Robin, Alex and more who is already in line for the signing. We decided to buy some drinks at Starbucks first while waiting in the line and also for the planner (I have 3 now and 15 more to go). Saw a lot of friends there Andrew, Arvin, Byron and more. Me and Alex decided to print some pictures in the ground floor before the event start and we are glad when we come back in the Movieworld area, the event just started so we are on time.


We prepared our magazines and also Toki (my cam). I noticed Precious (one of the cover girls) is not present anyways no sad feelings because I already met her during the radio tour. I was able to have my 2 FHM 100th issue signed and my old Joyce So FHM magazines.I also took alot of pictures (in my multiply).

There's alot of people who fall in line and alos people who are just watching the event and the girls while they sign the magazines. After having my magazine signed and having pictures with the ladies. We already left and took our dinner in the Robinson's Food court then went to Alabang and meet my college (DLSU) classmates.

* MYMO Concert

After the FHM radio tour my friends texted me if I would watch MYXMO because Moonstar88 (band) would perform, so I said "why not?" since it's been a while since I watched them play. I went to SM Mall of Asia without any ticket I was, they said I needed to get one for me to go inside. My friend Kawen told me to look for a MYX Magazine (which I did) and damn it was sold out in every magazine stand nd bookstore in MOA. I was feeling hopeless but I still went to the entrance of the backstage of the concert and texted Bhert (Guitarist of Moonstar88), I was there for 15 mins I think because the band has an interview and it was raining. Good thing they gaved me an "Artist Pass" so I was able to go inside (I was so happy). All of the bands and music artist are there, name it Rico Blanco, Bamboo, Pupil, Parokya ni Edgar, Gary V and more.

There is a tent where after every artist is done performing they would be interviewed in that tent so I stayed there and took pictures of every artist (I came late so I missed Bamboo and more) I took alot of pictures and met alot of artist that includes Urbandub, Hale, Mobstars, Kitty Girls, Kamikazee, Hilera, Sponge Cola, Billy Joe Crawford, Gary V, Typecast, Parokya and more.

Despite of the rain I was able to stroll around the backstage and take pictures. Free booze are on two tents damn I keep on coming back.


I was able to go the stage as well to watch the performing artist behind the stage and also to take pictures. Met the MYX VJ's as well like Iya and Nikki Gil.


It was really an experience because all of the artist are there and what more I can say. The crowd watching is almost 80k in attendance. I had fun through out the show but had a hard time going home because there's alot of people.

* Playboy's Rock The Rabbit

After an almost disappointing party for Playboy Philippines last month, Playboy Philippines came up with another party called "Rock the Rabbit" which is also happens in different countries (where Playboy is).

At first I''m having second thoughts in attending the party because of what happened to the 1st party where most of the people wasn't able to bring their cameras inside (except me *toinks) and next is most of my friends can't make it because they do have work but I'm glad two of my friends was able to make it to the party so I decided to go.

The event was held in Arkadia Bar in Malate (sponsored by Musik Lokal) and it started 10pm. Me and a friend (Alex) met at Robinson's Place so we could go there together because we are not familiar with the location. So there equipped with our camera's we went there and good thing we find the place right away because it's raining during that time. We are also happy because we was able to bring inside our camera's, There's alot of people inside and it's an exclusive event and good thing I know someone from MusikLokal (thanks Warren). It was hosted by Myx VJ Sib and Miss Maui Taylor, show was great, food is free, great bands played like Up Dharma Down, Taken by Cars, Overtone and the Ronnies and lastly 5 Playboy Playmates was there and don't forget the bunnies who sells Playboy Magazine inside the bat and is always ready for our camera!

I was really happy because I had my Playboy magazine signed by May Playmate Billy Jean and October Playmate Danica Hann and also my Maui Taylor stuffs. It's my first time to meet Maui and she was really nice.

I'm sure everyone went home here smiling..Haha no haters to those who wasn't able to bring their camera's inside during the last Playboy party!
