* Playboy Academy Philippines 2010

This event was mentioned to me before by Playmate Sky during the Playboy Press-con last June. The event was called Playboy Academy, a fashion show event where the models would wear the Playboy apparels that would soon be sold in the Playboy store at Trinoma that would open soon and also the event is an inter-collegiate dance competion. Ticket is 500 bucks with free cocktail drink and a cool Playboy shirt (available in Green or Black). The event was held at Guilly's Tomas Morato and it was my first time at Guilly's, a lot of friends of mine are asking me to chill and hang out there. The event started around 9:30pm and the host of the event is Playmate Sky. There was a lot of freebies like Playboy dog tags, the paper weight glass with a Playboy logo (I got one) and magazines.

The fashion show was the first part of the event where me and my friends were able to take photos. After the fashion show is the dance competition with Celebrity judges and Playmate Echo Caceres and Dino Imperial, after a several performance the Playmate Sky introduced and promoted the latest issue together with Playmate Nhadz who is the current Playmate. Part two of the Fashion and then the continuation of the dance competition. The group from PLM (Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila) won the dance competition taking home 20 thousand pesos and a chance to perform in the next Playboy event this September called Rock the Rabbit Year III. It was a nice event and we enjoyed it even though the rain was really hard outside the venue. Till next Playboy event :)

* Avatar: The Last Airbender (Movie)

A friend of mine 2 years ago gave me a copy of the animated series Avatar: The Last Airbender by Nickelodeon. It was nice especially the story and then I saw the trailer of this movie way back and I thought that this is going to be a cool movie especially with M. Night Shyamalan (The Happening and The Sixth Sense) as the writer and the director of the movie. I can say that I was disappointed with the movie and I did expect a lot of great effects with The Last Airbender movie. I even checked the reviews of the movie from other sites and most people who watched it didn't liked the movie compare with the animated series. Good movie for kids but for people who have seen the animated series or movie critics the movie is not that good. Hope there would be more improvements with the next books.

* [UAAP 73] DLSU beats ADMU after 2 years

One of the most awaited basketball event here in the Philippines is a La Salle and Ateneo game in the UAAP. July 24, 2010 is the date for the first meet up between the two schools. DLSU lost the last 6 games againts Ateneo for the last 2 years and finally last Saturday DLSU ended the streak and defeated the Blue Eagles with a great comeback 66-63.

DLSU team consist of a new head coach Dindo Pumaren and a bunch of rookies battled the back to back defending champions Ateneo Blue Eagles with Eric Salamat, Kirk Long, Ryan Buenafe and Mico Salva on the team. It was a close game for the first half exchanging baskets between the two teams but Ateneo is still in the driver seat because of the Ryan Buenafe's and one plays. During the last quarter we thought that DLSU is already giving up and key players like Maui Villanueva is struggling in the game, an unexpected hero Sam Marata came along with two triples and a Simon Atkins free throw for the DLSU Green Archers to get the victory against their rival. Sam Marata and Joshua Webb had 12 points followed by team captain Simon Atkins who had 9 points.

* Nitro-Tech Hardcore Pro Series

My Gold's gym card :)

Supplements I've used

A friend of mine suggested for me to try the latest Nitro-Tech product which is Nitro-Tech Hardcore Pro Series, I've tried Weider's Megamass 2000 and 4000 and also Met-RX Size Up but I can say this one worked for me. There's is a privilege in the office where we can enroll at Gold Gym with of course a big discount so me and some friends took advantage of it and at the same time I bought the product. I've heard good feedbacks from the web and from my friends. I bought mine at Cash and Carry mall 4lb for 3000 pesos and mall price is around 5k-6k. The taste is good (Chocolate Flavor) compare to Met-Rx Size Up and it melts easily, best to combine with milk. For my first 7 days I gained 5lbs and after 2 more weeks another 7lbs of course with heavy workout program, complete sleep, vitamins and I eat more compared before. The 4lbs has a free shirt as well that has a Muscle-Tech logo in front of the shirr size "L" and it's too big for me (for now). For one month use I gained 12lbs from 145lbs to 157lbs which is really not bad. Will definitely be using and recommending this product.

From 125lbs - 157lbs

* Medicom RAH Kamen Rider 1 2003 Deluxe

I was finally got my new toy from Japan who was bought by the wife of my friend. I'm into sentai toys and flicks and at the same time Kamen Riders as well. I can say I was amazed with the Kamen Rider "The First" and "The Next" movie. I only had 3 or 4 Kamen Rider figures and this would be an addition to my collection. Now I'm thinking of buying Medicom KR figures but it's too expensive and is hard to find. Anyways here are the photos of my new toy :)

* Inception

I'm really into Sci-Fi movies and this one is of the the best. Directed and written by Christopher Nolan with stars Leonard DiCarpio, Ken Watanabe (The Last Samurai), Ellen Page (Kitty Pride from X-Men) and Joseph Gordon-Levitt in the movie.

Inception is a movie about a thief who enters dreams to get information, architecture of the mind and more. It's has a little action and some twist and turns that made the movie fun to watch. At first I was confused about the movie but as the movie continues I was able to understand the story. Well plotted and definitely a movie I can recommend.

* FHM 100 Sexiest Party 2010

It's my first time to attend a 100 sexiest FHM party and a good friend Vince gaved me a ticket for the event. As expected there's a lot of people mostly guys are falling in line outside World Trade Center. We are able to get inside around 8:30pm. There's alot of booths inside for GBX, Premiere Condom, Citizen Watch and RRJ. Beers are also being sold inside 50 bucks per can. The set up of the stage is for me not that good because for us Non-VIP ticket holders we can only see part of the stage because photographers are in front of the stage taking photos. So what we could only do is just watch in the big screen, I didn't put an effort to take photos in front because it's kinda hot in the venue because there's a lot of people. Bad thing as well is two of my friends and I've heard other people including models had their fones stolen in the said event.

The show was fine and the ladies, models and celebrities walk and ramp in the stage. There is a magic trick performance which is also part of the show. Iwa Motto, Sam Pinto, Saicy Aguila, Premiere Vixens and more ramp in the stage and lastly FHM's 2010 #1 in the 100 sexiest women in the Philippines came from above the stage in angel wings non other than Angel Locsin.

Too bad I wasn't able to take photos during the fashion show but I was happy to see my friends in the said event, wasn't able to attend the after party at LAX because I'm also not feeling well. Hopefully a better stage set up next year. Congrats FHM :)

* MK Victorino

MK Victorino born February 25, 1990 started modeling when she was 18 and is also a Playboy Playmate as Sky Aisuru. She was the featured Playmate for the month of April 2010. MK graduated at Miriam College and took up Major in English and believed it or not that she worked as teacher. She has several tattoos as well in her body. It was my first time to meet her during the last Playboy Press con and I can say she was really nice and very friendly. I was able to ask few questions to her

* What made you decide to Pose for Playboy?
-
I've been with Playboy since July last year, I became familiar with the staff and how they are as a company. Its like family there! I know I'll be comfortable in the shoot, so I decided to agree to do it and become an official ambassadress of Playboy.

* So how was it being a Playmate?
-
Being a playmate is one of the best things that happened to me! Haha! I never knew of the perks that would come along with it. But now I'm tyrna get used to the VIP treatment. :)

* Reaction from your friends and people who knows you after seeing the magazine?
- When they saw the magazine, they said it looks classier than any other men's magazine. Well, what can I say, it is international after all :) They were really proud of me!

* After college I've heard that you work as teacher?
-
Yea I did work as a teacher for a while. Well since when I worked, I still didnt have my diploma then, I had to submit all my lesson plans to my head teacher haha. I do have a heart for kids and a wild passion for finding self growth through work. :)

* So how was it (working as a teacher)?
-
It has always been fun teaching. Seeing kids after 10 months with better communication skills and socialization leaves me overwhelmed! :) Even if I had to go through chasing them everyday. Haha!

* Good thing your parents was very supportive when you posed for Playboy?
- My parents didnt really know that I posed at first. They found out a month after. They are very supportive now! But yea, I had get the 1 week nagging of dad. Haha!

* The shoot was very classy, are we going to see more classy shoots like that in the future?
-
YOU DEFINITELY WILL!!! I'm so excited for the fashion editorial shoot and hmmm I might just have a surprise for everyone by the end of the year :) Big smiles! Hahaha! :)

* UFC 116: Lesnar vs Carwin

The much awaited heavyweight fight has finally come, I was really excited to watch this match. Shane Carwin undefeated and the UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar. First round was all Shane Carwin grounding and pounding Lesnar. Never saw Lesnar being beat up before but Lesnar did survived the first round. Second round came and Lesnar was able to takedown Carwin and mount him then finishing Carwin via arm triangle choke. It was a good fight but I really thought it would be Carwin who would win the bout. Now what's next for Lesnar? Cain Velasquez.

* Unleashed: Digital Photographer Philippines 4th Year Anniversary

It's my first time to attend a DPP or a photography event, I joined the forum a year ago to get tips and ideas with photography and I can say I did learned a lot. Some of my friend are coming to the said event and I saw the program/seminars and the line up was really nice and take note it's free, all you have to do is to get the latest issue of DPP to get a pass.

my DPP ID

long line outside 8am

I have work the previous night so I slept for two hours and went to Fully Booked BHS, I arrived around 9am and the line was already long, I got my stub and my number is 242. Too bad some of the class that I wanted to attend was full but I was able to attend the other class as well (standing).

The registration started around 10am and when I got in they asked me to select which classes I wanted to join I selected Jo Avila's Light Painting, Raymond Isaac's The Real Approach to Fashion Photography in the Digital Age and LIVE shoot with Pilar Tuason. It was really happy I was able to have my lens and camera cleaned as well for free.

Lighting Painting is the first class I've attended and the class is about taking photos using flashlight as your brush or external flash, I've learned a lot with this class and planning to try it soon with my toys and action figures.

After the Jo Avila class we had lunch at Market Market then went back to attend other classes for Portraits by Pilar Tuason, Fashion by Raymond Isaac, Live shoot and the class with Xander Angeles. It was a fun and learning experience and at the same time seeing my other friends in the said event who are also into photography.

Live Shoot with Pilar Tuason
