* Manila Auto Salon 2009

Manila Auto Salon is a yearly event usually held at SMX Convention Center near SM Mall of Asia, this is one of the major car show event in the country. It's a 4 day event starting Thursday and ends Sunday, this year the entrance fee is 60 pesos for adults, 30 for kids and 45 for Elders (I guess same as last year). The event is full of modified cars and PGA cars that we won't see in the streets here in the Philippines like Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche and more. Car Accesories and anything about car like insurance and more. This event is for car enthusiast, Photographers, car show fanatics, bloggers and even cosplayers this year. I was able to attend day 4 because I have work during the first three day of the said event.

Celebrities and models can be seen in this kind of events and for this year Rabah Al Hussaini, Japeth Aguilar and Eric Salamat of the Ateneo Blue Eagles is present in the said event. Jahziel Manabat and Abby Poblador from Playboy Philippines is also there.

I'm also happy to see friends (photographers, bloggers, models and friends) in the MAS 2009 event. Day 4 was really crowded because it's the last day and also because of the awardings. The 60 bucks I payed is really worth it and I can say I enjoyed the event.

* Iverson back to Philadelphia?

Rumors are spread that the Philadelphia 76ers is thinking of reinstating their former All Star Guard Allen Iverson back to Philadelphia where he played his first 10 season in the NBA. Another reason is because 76ers point guard Lou Williams who will be out for eight weeks because of a jaw surgery.

* Thanksgiving Day

Thanksgiving day is a holiday being celebrated every year in the U.S., Turkey and food is the first thing in mind if Thanksgiving is going to be mentioned. Anyways Thanksgiving is a harvest festival celebrated primarily in teh United States and Canada and from the name of holiday it's time to give thanks for the harvest and express gratitude in general.

I've worked for 3 call centers now and every Thanksgiving day means there is a very low call volume or incoming calls. In my recent company they announced that it's gonna be open OT for everyone so most are taking advantage of it. Since we are over staffed today is a very relaxing day most are just chatting or surfing the net. Here in the Philippines we don't celebrate Thanksgiving but mostly our Thanksgiving is Fiesta's and of course a lot of food is served.

* MYX MO 2009 "Bangon, Republic of Myx"

/ 11.26.09 SM Mall of Asia Grounds /

It's time again for one of the biggest music event in the country which is MYX MO, an annual event where the best pinoy music artist from all genre rock, pop, dance, mellow, hip-hop and more would perform in one stage in one day. The event was held in the SM Mall of Asia Grounds just like last year.

This year's theme was Bangon, Republic of MYX. Giving the message to the people here in the country to unite and be positive despite of the tragedies and calamities that occured in the past months.

me with Taken by Cars

The event was really crazy and thanks to Maysh and the rest of the Moonstar88 band for giving us backstage access. We are able to meet alot of music artist and watch the bands as they play. Difference between last year is we are able to go to the stage to take photos but this time it is not allowed. Like last year it was raining as well but the fun didn't stop and the concert continues until 3am. Almost 50+ artist played Mayonnaise, Sandwich, Up Dharma Down, Imago, Paramita, Pedicab, Kjwan, Greyhounds, Kyla, Mark Bautista, Christian Bautista, Moonstar88, Side A, Miguel Escueta, The Ambassadors, Duster, Parokya ni Edgar, Pop Girls, Gloc 9, Hi-C, 6CycleMind, Franco, Itchyworms, Letter Day Story, Callalily, Roots Of Nature,Silent Sanctuary, Sponge Cola, Kenyo, Hilera, Hale, Archipelago, Pupil, Slapshock, Sugarfree, Rico Blanco, Sino Sikat, Taken by Cars, Rivermaya, Princess, Paraluman and more.

Rico Blanco playing (after taking this shot we are told to get out of the stage lol)

It was sad that Kamikazee and Urbandub was not there but I can say the event is successful and everyone is happy.

* Allen Iverson Retires

Browsing yahoo and saw this Article A.I. aka The Answer quitting basketball. After reading the whole article it said that A.I. quits every team where he played and mostly about the same reason which is playing time. We all know that A.I. had this attitude that he always wanted the ball and score and he would be frustrated if he would be replaced and sits on the bench. We all know he is talented, with those amazing crossovers that even tricked Michael Jordan, those spectacular dunks and his speed, Imagine how a 6 feet guy dominating the NBA and winning the 2001 MVP award both season and all star game. Iverson has the heart and desired to win but his way is really different and he never learned especially about team work. He was traded to promising teams but nothing happened and now he is quitting the Memphis Grizzlies. I can say this would be sad, I'm an A.I. fan and I wanted him to have a championship, without him in the league is boring.
