* 8.4.13 UAAP FUNday Sunday

UAAP games for Men's basketball is on a two week break except the Women's and Junior's game which is held during weekends because of the FIBA Asia Championship happening in our country. I was assigned to cover the four Women's basketball game today.
  

 

                                          

I woke up early and still thinking of what happened yesterday for not getting my pair of Jordan 3 Fire Red. I arrived around 10am at San Juan Arena and covered the first game between UE and UP where UP won. I also covered the next games between UST and  NU where NU won, Ateneo against ADMU where Adamson won and DLSU vs FEU which is the team that fight during the championship last season and FEU won and remain unbeaten for the first round.

The games ended around 4pm and while covering the games and I checked my facebook sneaker group, I found a few resellers of the shoe and I contacted three of them, One of them is selling the pair for 800 pesos more from the SRP but the pair got bought right away and there is this seller who is selling it for 9,000 pesos. I called his number and we almost closed a deal to meet in Tomas Morato, I was starving and skipped lunch because of my shoot that I decided to dropby Robinsons Galeria to eat first before going to meet the seller. Before I ate, I thought of dropping by at the Nike Park store in Robinsons, I saw a size 15 on display for the Jordan 3 Fire Red and I asked the staff if they have a size 10, 10.5 or 11 maybe for me, he said they only have size 12. I asked to fit the size 12 pair and when the staff came back he said they have a size 11.5 which is fine for me, I fitted the pair and it's fits fine because my Jordan 4 Fire Red and Jordan 11 Concord are both size 11. To end the story I cop the pair and went home happy for the SRP 8,195 pesos and I'm happy because it's a legit pair from Nike.

This maybe my last pair before my wife delivers our baby which is around the end of August or first week of September. I'm thankful for my wife for supporting me for my collections even though it is expensive.

* Adidas - adirose 2

I finally got my 4th kicks for 2012 and it's an Adidas Derrick Rose 2. My friend who is currently based in the US asked me early last year if I'm interested with the D.Rose 2 kicks because he said that it's on sale in the US and I said yes. My friend went home here in the Philippines last December and I finally got my Derrick Rose shoes.

I was able to tried it once during a basketball game and it felt different compare to my Kobe kicks. It's light but I felt pain in my feet maybe because the shoe lace was too tight. I'm planning to display it soon in the house together with a Derrick Rose action figure.

* Kobe VII Gold Medal

This is my 3rd kicks for 2012 and I want more. I've decided to get a Kobe VII Gold Medal colorway than get a Jordan XII Playoffs. The style and color is really cool and really fits good. 

* Nike: Kobe VI - Imperial Purple

It's almost 3 years since I bought a Basketball kicks (Nike Hyperize AP) and now I've finally decided to get a new one, I wanted to buy the latest Kobe Bryant shoes (Kobe VII) but the colorway that I wanted is already out of stock and prize is a little bit expensive and I'm still saving money for a new DSLR. Me and my girlfriend went to Nike Paseo de Sta. Rosa and I've decided to buy a Kobe VI shoes. Limited size for the Blue Camo colorway so I just picked the Imperial Purple colorway. Got it from 6,9999 to 4,500. 

My review with this kicks? I can say it's very comfortable even though it's my first time to use wear low basketball kicks which I thought dangerous for my ankle. It's very light just like my Nike Hyperize AP .

* Clavel Sneaker Magazine with Paloma

This is my second Clavel Sneaker magazine the first one was with Jinri Yuriko Park on the cover and now a friend of mine Paloma. Saw the behind the scenes photos in Japan for this shoot. The shoot is for Kikstyo an international seller (also online) of shirts, caps, hoodies and more. I checked the website www.kikstyo.com and saw their items and it's very nice.

Clavel Magazine is mostly about shoes, reviews, news and the latest about the sneakers world. The issue was very nice and sexy. The photos are really nice and classy. The launching was held last September 18 at Attica in A.Venue and too bad I have work and I wasn't able to attend.

* Nike Talk Forums

Before buying my Nike Hyperize AP Shoes, I tried to search the web for informations about the shoe (reviews and feedbacks) and I was able to see this forum named Nike Talk. After buying my new basketball shoes at ebay.ph I have learned that the seller of the shoes that I boguht was also a member of the Nike Talk forums. He told me that most of the peeps in the forums are shoe/sneaker collectors and I can get reviews and help especially about shoes in the said forum. So I went to http://www.niketalk.com and registered I thought I could post and join the forums right away but I was wrong, I needed to send an introduction or an "application" to the admins and they would decide if you will be approved or not. I can say I do collect and buy alot of stuff (cards, comics, signed items, magazines, jersey, toys, etc) and recently I'm interested in collecting basketball shoes so that is one of the major reason why I wanted to join niketalk casue I know this forums would help me alot.

After 3 weeks I received an email and I was declined so I replied back and ask the admi if they could reconsider my application for the forums and after 24 hours I got another email sayign I was approved and I can say I am happy :)

* Nike Hyperize AP

I just recently bought my Nike Hyperize AP or Hyperize Philippines Edition, I can say that I am really a fan of Philippine inspired items like my adidas Philippines track jacket and this shoe. It's been a while since I bought a basketball shoes and the last kicks that I bought was a black high cut Chucks. Since I do play basketball alot, I decided to buy one. Some of my friends told me to just get the Class A ones at Greenhills or Metropolis but of course the quality is still the subject here. I saw the price at the Nike store and it cost around 7.2k so I tried checking ebay.ph and I found a seller who is selling it (brand new) for 5.8k only. Before I deal with the seller, after a basketball game at Starmall Alabang me and a friend checked out if there is a fake version and good thing there is none. I contacted the seller and we met at Trinoma.

5 extra lace

My review for the shoes is it very light and comfortable. Since I do jum alot, this shoes is right for me. I like the design and the free 5 extra lace with 5 colors (green and yellow, green, yellow, blue and red). I chose the hyperize than the hyperdunk because of the design and the color. I'm starting to get addicted to shoes now and planning to buy another one this December.
