* UAAP 72 Volleyball Finals [Game 2]: UST wins the Championship

UST came out strong during the first and second set and with errors on DLSU side, UST won the first two set. DLSU came out strong during the third set with their awesome blocking giving them the win for set number 3. Fourth set and the momentum is still with DLSU but after a timeout UST started scoring and winning the set and the UAAP 72 Women's Volleyball Championship.

Win or Lose, we are still proud of DLSU for giving a good fight. Let's try our best next season. Animo La Salle!

The Purefoods Tender Juicy Giants took game 1 against Alaska for the best for seven series for the KFC PBA Philippine Cup 2009 - 2010 81 - 77. Alaska was undefeated against the Brgy. Ginebra Kings in the semis while Purefoods had a hard fight againts the San Miguel Beer Men. James Yap scored 24 points 4 rebounds and 2 assists and help his team to win the Finals opening. Willie Miller had 23 points and Joe Devance had 10 points for Alaska.

* UAAP 72 Volleyball Finals [Game 1]: UST beats DLSU

It's my first time to watch the UAAP season 72 Volleyball game, of course I would support my school (DLSU Lady Spikers) which is ranked #1 in the season and they are facing a tough UST team.

DLSU went strong with the first set as they won the first set, UST got the momentum in the second set and awesome serves and kills that gaved them the win for the second set. UST's momentum continues as they continue to block DLSU's spikes and won the third and fourth set giving them the win for Game 1. I'm praying that DLSU will bounce back in the second game February 27, 2010.

* Jersey Haven All-Star Hoopla

"Train like champs, Play like champs" this coming February 27, 2010 at Ateneo Blue Eagle Gym, Jersey Haven (http://www.jerseyhaven.com.ph) will have it's second All-Star event where Kids and Adults can join the Train like a Pro camp like the previous All-Star event where we trained with Ren Ren Ritualo at Xavier School Gym. Like last year it would be free but registration is needed.

This year there is no "Play like a Pro" where you could play with the Pro Basketball players but there would be an All-Star Hoopla Dream Game where the 2009 Ateneo Blue Eagles will have a game against Coach Normal Black's ABL Team. This would be a game for a cause and part of it will go to the Ateneo Scholarship Fund. Ticket cost is PHP 150.

I really liked this UFC event specially because I am a Wanderlei Silva fan, it's his first time to fight in the Middleweight division and he won against Michael Bisping in a unanimous decision. There are three MMA Legends that has a fight in this UFC Event Mirko Filipovic, Wanderlei Silva and Antonio Nogueira. Only Nogueira lost and he was knocked out in the first round my Cain Velasquez. Cain showed his speed and how aggressive he is.

* Para kay [album] - Bluewish

Bluewish band started 2001 with Yapi (vocals), Mark (bass), Marvin (Guitar) and Angel (Drums) and in 2003 Angel left the band replaced by VJ and they started to do acoustics. Met the band way back in the Moonstar88 egroups. I just recently got a copy of the band's first independent titled "Para kay" and had it signed as well.

* Moonstar88 GEB 2010

It's been years I can say since the last EB for the listers and supporters of the OPM band Moonstar88 and recently we have decided to organize an EB so the originals or the long time listers would be able to meet the new ones so it's like a bonding thing together with the band. Original date was supposed to be February 27 but it was moved to an earlier date which is February 20 for some reasons. Anyways it was held at Tomatokick at UP Village, I arrived late (11:30pm i guess) and when I got there they are all in the studio and having an acoustic trip singing Moonstar88 songs and other OPM band's songs (Eraserheads, Truefaith, etc). After the acoustic session it's time to eat, take photos and drink. I can say the Nachos served in Tomatokick are the best (Nachos Nachos Nachos) and we drink a little because I still have work by 3am.

I was happy to see old friends that I haven't seen for years like the Bluewish Band (Marvin, Pia and Mark), Kawen, Angel and the other listers as well (JP, Jio, She, Tere, Kima, Kimie, Lani and more). Also the band itself and Thanks Pao for the food it was really delicious. It was really a nice get together event and looking forward for the next one.

Samurai Sentai Shinkenger says goodbye and the thirty fourth Super Sentai series is now available Tensou Sentai Gosieger. Premiered February 14, 2010. Now another series to watch and new toys and mecha to collect.

The Goseigers are members of the Gosei Angels, humans born with mysterious powers who 10,000 years ago moved to the Gosei World so not to cause trouble for regular humans. Using the Heaven's Tower as a bridge between the dimensions, the Gosei Angels made it their mission to protect Earth. However, when the Heaven's Tower is destroyed, only five Gosei Angels are left on the Earth to complete this mission.

* PLAYBOY PHIL. Jan/Feb 2010 Issue Launching at LOUNGE Tomas Morato

When: February 10, 2010 (Wednesday)

My first party for the year. I am glad that I was invited again for the Playboy Magazine's issue launching held at Lounge Tomas Morato. Since it was my off I decided to attend the event and take photos, saw some friends there who are also fellow bloggers. I missed the presscon because I arrived around 9pm and presscon started 7pm. I was given a free copy of the latest issue and it was a great issue I can say. Features are great mostly about Philippine Movies (history, etc) and it featured famous Directors. Playmates from previous Playboy issues are also featured inside and it was really really nice. Director Peque Gallaga is in the cover with Bridget Suarez for the January-February 2010 issue. Playmate Amber Dy's photos are sexy and very classy specially those black and white photos.

The party is cool, my first time to be there at The LOUNGE, place is kinda small but it's good specially for private events just like this one. Director Peque Gallaga was there, Amber Dy and the cover girl Bridget Suarez. I was able to take few photos and have my magazine signed as well. I wanted to congratulate Playboy for the awesome party and issue and more power to you guys and looking forward for your events and issues.

* 4Minute Philippine Tour [day 2] - SM Megamall

The long was has finally come to an end, I wasn't able to attend their tour at SM Mall of Asia because of work so me and some friends just decided to attend day 2 which will be held at SM Megamall. A friend sent me a text message and told me that the line is already long and it's only 11am so I hurried and texted my another friend of mine to go there and buy 2 CD's and get a number. Our numbers are 259 and 260. The limited edition CD+DVD comes with a free poster and 4Minute cards for 495 pesos. I arrived around 1:30pm and saw some friends from the cosplay community in the event. Koreans and Filipino fans gathered and wait for the new K-pop group 4Minute. We are able to go inside around 2pm and waited till 5pm.

Sabrina performed first with some of her acoustic versions and then finally 4Minute performed with their hits Music, Hot Issue and What a Girl Wants. I had a hard time taking photos because of the crowd and my battery was empty so I just decide to take videos using my phone.

The rules kinda sucks because after the performance the meet and greet will only be good for 1 hour and it started 6:10pm and ended exactly 7:10pm, good thing we are able to have our CD's signed and only numbers 1 to 300 are accommodated. No picture takings on the stage as well which is also not that cool. Anyways I'm happy because I was able to say hi to them, see them and have my CD signed and see Hyuna :)

Looking forward for more K-pop artist to visit us here in the Philippines.

* Gee [album] - Girls Generation (SNSD) Philippines Release

Finally Gee (album) is now out here in the Philippines only this year but originally it was released January 7, 2009. Gee (track) tops the chart in Korea and even set a record for being the longest time to be number 1 on KBS's musci chart show Music Bank for 9 weeks.

I was planning to buy this album at ebay then a friend told me that it would be out here in the market. I was hesitant of getting one because I'm thinking of the difference of the quality of photos from the Korean release then saw a friend's copy and the photos are great and event has a free poster for only 350 pesos (around $6). I finally got mine and it was really really nice my first SNSD and K-pop album :)
